Meets DOT 49 CFR 173.12. • Salvage drums are used for damaged or leaking containers of hazardous materials or used absorbent materials. Requires labeling and must pass a 3-psi pressure test. The 65-gal. salvage drum with metal band and bolt is suitable for 55-gal. containers or smaller. Meets DOT 49 CFR 173.3. • Overpacks are used for larger, non-damaged containers, cans and drums of non-leaking hazardous materials.
